May use form to write a strength, a weakness and a concern to be raised in the next IEP meeting. Each participant takes a turn at being the Parent, the IEP team member, the Observer. The Parent gives information; the IEP Team member listens and can ask questions; the Observer reflects on what is occurring. Facilitator indicate when its time to rotate: 3 minute intervals. If group is very large, individuals can reflect/write – then share with the whole group. Large group discussion: ask if there are observations, comments or questions about the the group work. Remind participants that they should prepare for an IEP meeting with a supportive person who knows the child. They may invite a support person to the IEP meeting as well.
