Repaso del imperfecto ● The imperfect tense in Spanish is used to discuss actions in the past that: ● Occurred repeatedly ● I went to school every day ● or occurred over an extended period of time ● I used to dance often ● The imperfect can also be used to talk about: ● Feelings or conditions ● My sister was sad ● or setting the stage for another past event. It’s also always used to tell time, weather, and age! ● I was walking to school when I saw my friend ** The imperfect tense implies that the past action did not have a definite beginning or end**

As a class, we’re going to read part of the children’s book The Giving Tree in Spanish. All of the verbs are conjugated in the imperfect! As I read, write down three or more verbs that you know and three or more verbs that are new to you.
