Time to think… How can you tell that “fruta” means “fruit?” This is called a COGNATE. That means that the word looks similar in both languages. Cognates can be very helpful in learning another language. Be Careful … sometimes words are “false” cognates, because they look like a word we know in English, but do not really mean the same thing.
