There are clear grammatical rules about which tenses should be used in these cases. Have a look at the next slide and see if you can work out what the rules are. (This should just be a refresher on si clauses) You’re looking for: Si + TENSE ONE, TENSE TWO

The rules… Si + IMPERFECT SUBJUNCTIVE, CONDITIONAL
For this type of condition (if I were, if I did etc) Si + IMPERFECT SUBJUNCTIVE, CONDITIONAL This always comes up on question 9 in AS, and on the translation in the A2 question If you’re not 100% on forming this type of sentence, revisit my si clauses tutorial on Sophia.
