Direct Object Pronouns

 The direct object of a sentence receives the action of the verb. Direct objects answer the questions what? or who(m)? about the verb.  Ana ve la tele. – La tele is the direct object.  Escuchamos música. – Música is DO.

Pronouns  Nouns used as direct objects can be replaced by pronouns. Pronouns are used to avoid repetition of the noun.  ¿Necesitas la chaqueta? No la necesito. Do you need the jacket?
