Direct Object Pronouns D.O. receive the action of the verb in a sentence They answer the question whom? Or what? About the verb. The D.O. can be a noun or a pronoun. Direct object pronouns can be used to replace direct object nouns.

Singular Plural Me - me Nos- us Te – you (i) Os- you all Lo – you (f) Direct Object Pronouns Singular Plural Me - me Nos- us Te – you (i) Os- you all Lo – you (f) him/ it Los –you all them (masculine) La – you (f) her/it Las – you all them (feminine)

The direct object pronoun is placed directly before the conjugated verb. Quiero la camisa azul. – Yo la quiero. I want the blue shirt. – I want it. Quiero los zapatos. – Yo los quiero. I want the shoes. – I want them.

When there are two verbs beside each other in a sentence, only conjugate (change) the first verb and leave the other one in the infinitive. I prefer to buy the shirt. Yo prefiero comprar la camisa. In this case, the direct object pronoun can be placed before the conjugated verb or be attached to the infinitive. I want to buy it. (The shirt) Yo la quiero comprar. Yo quiero comprarla.
