El Verbo Gustar Avancemos 1 – 3.1

Gustar – to like We have already learned to use the verb “gustar” with infinitives to say what people like to do. We can also use the verb gustar with nouns to talk about what people like.

Gustar – to like If the thing that is liked is singular (apple), you will use the singular form of the verb gustar which is gusta. If the thing that is liked is plural (apples), you will use the plural form of the verb gustar which is gustan.

Examples Me gusta la bebida. BUT Me gustan las bebidas. I like the drink. I like the drinks. Me gusta la bebida. BUT Me gustan las bebidas.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!! PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE FORM OF THE VERB GUSTAR (GUSTA/GUSTAN) MATCH WHAT IS LIKED, NOT THE PERSON WHO LIKES IT!!!!
