The Verb Gustar to like; to be pleasing to The verb gustar means ___________________________. In Spanish, it is the thing(s) or action(s) that please a person (rather than the person who likes the things/actions). This means that the verb gustar will only be conjugated in the 3rd person singular (“it”) and plural (“they”) forms because it is the thing(s) or action(s) that are pleasing to the person. Complete the verb chart for the two present tense forms of the verb gustar. gusta gustan

Gustar and Clarifiers Because gustar only has two forms, we can use clarifiers to stress who is being pleased by the thing(s) or action(s). Now that we know the gustar expressions and clarifiers, when should we use the singular form (gusta) and the plural form (gustan)?
