6 Singular and Plural Forms of Gustar
Gustar is only conjugated in the 3rd person singular and plural forms because it is the thing(s) or action(s) that are pleasing to the person. That is also why we use the clarifiers to stress who is being pleased by the thing(s) or action(s). If it is an action or actions that the person likes to do, use the singular form _________________. If the thing (noun) that the person likes is singular, use _________________. If the noun liked is plural, use ____________________. gusta gustan gusta gusta gustan

Translate these sentences from English to Spanish. See page 52 of textbook for a review of gustar. Include gustar clarifiers! In a question, “do” is implied. Don’t forget the punctuation! These are all verb infinitives- use gusta I like to ride a bike. Do you like to fish? She likes to go shopping. We like to see movies. They (masc.) like to swim.
