THE NEAR FUTURE The near future is used to talk about something that is going to happen. It is formatted the following way: “IR + INFINITIVE” the English equivalent is “I am going to…” The way to conjugate “ir”=To go- are as follows: VOY (I) VAMOS (WE/US) VAS (YOU SINGULAR) VAIS (VOSOTROS) VA (HE/SHE/IT) VAN (THEY/YOU ALL FORMAL)

EXAMPLES OF IR + INFINITIVES 1.Voy a jugar al fútbol = I am going to play soccer 2.Va a jugar al fútbol = he/she is going to play soccer 3. Vamos a estudiar el arte = we are going to study art 4. Van a estudiar el arte = they are going to study art
