La Ley de modernización en inocuidad alimentaria (FSMA), se firmó como ley el 4 de enero del 2011 El objetivo de la FSMA es proporcionar un suministro de alimentos más seguro y una industria alimenticia más estable, pero también amplía los poderes de la FDA para regular y vigilar cualquier aspecto de la producción de alimentos Esta nueva ley pone a la prevención como un asunto prioritario para la FDA. These proposed rules work together to address hazards in the commodities FDA regulates and to address food safety both in domestically produced and imported foods. We expect to soon propose the Foreign Supplier Verification Program, Preventive Controls for Animal Food and Accredited Third Party Certification.

25 Subparte P – Variaciones
