To talk about temporary actions which are not routines or habits. The action is not necessarily happening at the time of speaking (Para hablar de acciones temporales que no son rutinas o hábitos. La acción no tiene porque estar ocurriendo en el momento de hablar)  I´m reading a really good book at the moment. (someone speaking on the phone)  Peter is learning Spanish. (because he wants to go to Spain. Perhaps he isn´t learning Spanish at the time of speaking)

To talk about arrangements in the future (Para hablar de citas, con valor de futuro).  A: What are you doing on Saturday evening? B: I´m going to the theatre.  Mark is going to the dentist on Tuesday morning.
