El complemento directo. ¿What is the direct object? Direct object is the receiver of the action and answers the question what? or who? With regard to the verb in a sentence.  María busca su libro.  ¿Qué busca María?  The answer is su libro (is the direct object)

¿Dónde colocamos el pronombre en la oración? 1- The DOP can be placed right before the conjugated verb in a sentence with one verb. Juan tiene el libro Juan lo tiene Juan has the book. El libro is the direct object and it’s a masculine singular noun therefore it’s replaced with the pronoun lo Juan lee la novela Juan la lee Juan reads the novel. La novela is the direct object and it’s a femenine singular noun therefore it’s replaced with the pronoun la.
