WELCOME! About me…. Mrs. Benavides –I have been teaching for 15 years. –I have taught elementary and middle school. –I took 4 years of Spanish in high school, but I forgot most of what I learned! I can understand Spanish better than I speak it, but I am nervous about speaking it because I’m not that great!

Carr Intermediate School Agenda Students are expected to write their assignments in their agenda daily. Parents should check your son/daughters agenda at least once a week. Parents can write notes to teachers in their agendas. Important information about the school can be found in the front of the agenda. Replacement cost is $5.00.

Agenda de la Escuela Carr Se requiere que los alumnos escriban sus tareas en su agenda, todos los dias. Se pide que los padres revisen las Agendas de sus hijos por lo menos una vez por semana. Los padres pueden escribir notas para los maestros dentro de las Agendas. Se puede encontrar informacion importante de la escuela dentro de las Agendas. El costo para remplasar un Agenda es de $5.00.

Reading and Writing Period 1/6 – Reading/Writing We will focus on Reading Literature and Informational Pieces. Read 30 minutes every day. Research papers and weekly writing assignments

Lectura y Escritura+ Periodo 1/6 - Lectura Nos enfocaremos en leer literatura y pedason informativos Leer por 30 minutos todos los dias y tomaran un examen cada semana Escritura – Papeles de investigacion y escrituras semanales seran asignados. Nuestra meta es que cada estudiante alcance 350 or mas en examenes estadales.(CST) –Algunos de sus hijo/as estan acercandose y otros todavia estamos mirando y pueda ser que los mueven ha otros niveles para que se beneficen.

History Ancient Civilizations - Early man, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Hebrews, India, China, Greece, and Rome Common Assessments every 4-6 weeks

Homework Policy Homework is assigned every night. It will be written in your students’ agenda. Homework is expected to be turned in on time, every time! Late work is accepted, but will be marked down 50%. Absent students will have 2 days to complete missed work. Any work that is not completed in class, must be turned it within 2 weeks for half credit.

Tarea Tarea sera asignada todos los dias y sera escrita en las agenda de cada estudiante. La tarea necesita ser entregada cada dia a tiempo.
