 What is a pronoun?  A pronoun takes the place of a noun.  Ex: Edgar = he Emily=she  You and I = we  The subject of a sentence tells who is doing the action.  It could be a noun or a pronoun.  Jaime and Joshua sing and dance.  They sing and dance.  Ellos cantan y bailan.

 You also use subject pronouns to tell who is doing an action.  Kaitlin listens to music.  Ella escucha música.  José sings and dances.  Él canta y baila.  If a group is made up of males only or both males and females together, use the masculine forms: nosotros or ellos. (boys will always rule)  If a group is all females, use the feminine forms: nosotras or ellas.

 You can combine a subject pronoun and a name to form a subject.  Valeria y yo = nosotros/nosotras  Carla y ella = ellas  Jonathan y tú = ustedes  Xavier y Justin = ellos
