CELEBRATE! WE GOT AN “A”! 94.4 (Adequate Yearly Progress) The state requested a waiver to the No Child Left Behind Law and we received a letter grade instead of the saying we made AYP!

Mission The Mission of Cherrydale Elementary is to promote Achievement “Teamwork equals Achievement” and “Everyday brings a New Success ”

ESEA ESEA means Elementary and Secondary Elementary Act. Since South Carolina requested this waiver to No Child Left Behind, Cherrydale is considered an “A” rated school. Our students excelled on the state accountability test which is called the PASS. Congratulations to students and Staff!

This is a Title I funded school that has a “Highly Qualified” staff based on guidelines of the No Child Left Behind Legislation of You may, upon request, review our teachers credentials.

Our Title I is available for your viewing. See the Notebook on top of the monitor.

If you would like to volunteer, in any capacity, please ask the receptionist for a volunteer form.

Cherrydale’s response policy is as follows: We will respond to any questions, comments, concerns, etc… within a 24 hour period. If you have any language difficulties or disabilities that prohibit your understanding of anything, please see the receptionist.

We welcome your comments, questions, suggestions, etc… There is a suggestion box located in this office for your convenience.

Attestation of Highly Qualified Staff I attest that the professional teaching and paraprofessional staff of this Title I school are in compliance with the requirements of being “highly qualified” as defined by No Child Left Behind of 2001 and Title I law, section 1119, for a school operating under Title I law, sections 1114 or Copies of this attestation are available for public inspection in the main office of the school and in the Federal Programs Office of Greenville County Schools.

Parent Invovlement Policy and Compact The District and Cherrydale’s Parent Involvement Policy and the School-Parent Compact are sent home in two mailings every September-October with a request for any comments. The Compact is discussed and signed at your child’s October conference with the teacher.

Esta escuela se opera con los fundos de Titulo I y tiene una facultad con “altas calificaciones” de acuerdo con la ley “Ningun Nino Dejado Atras” de Si guste, usted pueda ver los credenciales de nuestros maestros.

Nuestro Plan para el Titulo I y nuestro plan para mejorar la escuela son disponibles a usted. Pregunte a la recepcionista.

Si usted desea ser un voluntario en la escuela, en cual quiera manera, favor de pedir el formulario de voluntarios de la recepcionista.

Sus comentarios, preguntas, sugerencias, etc. son bienvendos. Para su conveniencia hay una caga en la oficina para depositar sus sugerencias.
