When making unequal comparisons with Más que and menos que, the quality being compared is often expressed between más que and menos que Más + (adjective, adverb or noun) + que Menos + (adjective, adverb or noun) + que

Superlatives You already learned that –ísimo can be added to an adjective to express a very high degree of the characteristic that adjective names. Esta paella está riquísima Tomasita e Irma son inteligentísimas. Es buenísima.

To express the highest degree of a quality We use the definite article (el,la,los,las) with the thing or quality being compared before the comparative construction. El,la,los,las + noun + mas/menos+ adjective

Éstas son las blusas más bonitas. These are the prettiest blouses Tienen el carro menos elegante. They have the least elegant car. El Amazonas es el río más largo de Sudamérica. The Amazon is the longest river in South America.

Éstos son los mejores estudiantes del colegio. These are the best students in the school. Acabo de ver la peor película del año. I just saw the worst movie of the year. Ella es la menor de nuesta familia She is the youngest of the family.
