SUPERLATIVES

What are they? Superlatives are used to say that something is the “most” or the “least”. Examples: Spanish class is the worst class. Pizza is the best food. I am the least important person in my family.

In Spanish To form the superlative in Spanish, it works like this: Definite Article (el, la, los, las) The noun you are talking about Más (most) OR menos (least) Adjective to describe the noun

Ejemplos La clase de español es la clase más aburrida. La pizza es la comida más deliciosa. Profe es el profesor más feo. Graciela es la chica menos bonita. Profe es el profesor menos popular.

Mejor/Peor To say that something is “the best” or “the worst”, use mejor (best) or peor (worst). However, mejor or peor go IN FRONT OF the noun. Definite article + mejor/peor + noun

Ejemplos Profe es el peor profesor en la escuela. La pizza es la mejor comida. Mi cama es la peor cama en la casa. Mi amigo es el mejor estudiante en la clase.
