Canada is a beautiful country located on the northern part of America. As many other countries, it has beautiful old stories related to its people and traditions. Along this project you will be working with a beautiful story called Sedna, goddess of the seas. The project contains five activities, each one with precise instructions and requirements. All of them will conform your final portfolio.

INSTRUCTIONS Individual work 50 minutes Read the whole story again and find the word that fits each definition in the crossword. Write the words in the spaces as in the example given for you. Note: you can use different online dictionaries to help yourself. Here ’ s one example for you: When you finish your crossword, copy and paste it on a new Word document, so you can include it in your portfolio at the end of the project. Include the links of the online dictionaries you used for a further reference. Save your work in your USB device and send your document to to be checked. INSTRUCTIONS Make a list of 5 additional words you didn’t understand. Use an on-line dictionary to find the meanings. Put the words in a table with two columns and 6 lines. Write the title “NEW WORDS” in a heading at the top of the page Write “WORD” (for column 1) and “MEANING” (for column 2) Letter type: CANDARA Letter number: 14 Letter color: ORANGE, EMPHASIS 6, 25% DARK Spaces between lines: DOUBLE All words must be numbered and centered. INSTRUCTIONS Copy and paste the beginning of the Sedna, goddess of the seas on a Word document. Change the letter type and include the original picture. Create a new document in Power Point. Write four paragraphs that tell us a different ending for the story. Create a presentation with 4 slides in Power Point. Paste one paragraph per slide. Choose funny pictures for each paragraph you wrote and paste them in your presentation. Single space between lines The text must be centered at the bottom of each slide. Add movement to your pictures, texts, and slides. Create a new document in Word and write three short questions that your classmates will answer at the end of this presentation. On the first slide of your presentation paste a link to the word document where you pasted the first part of Sedna’s story. On the last slide of your presentation, paste a Word Art that says QUESTIONNAIRE and insert a hyperlink to the Word document where you wrote the 3 short questions for your classmates. INSTRUCTIONS Create a presentation with as many slides as you need in Power Point. Write either a narration or dialogs to tell a real life story based on Sedna’s experience. Paste one paragraph or dialog per slide. Choose attractive real life pictures for each slide. Add movement to your pictures, texts, and slides. Add your voices or some music to make an audio-story presentation. Add your final comments on a following slide. INSTRUCTIONS Make a Power Point presentation where you include four hyperlinks to all the works you did along this unit. The first slide must include the following title: English Literature Portfolio On a second slide, paste pictures that represents each activity you did: the crossword, the vocabulary table, the story endings and the real life story. Each picture must be a hyperlink to the activities you did along the unit. Use style Austin for your presentation. ACTIVIDAD UNO Lee la historia completa y encuentra la palabra que se ajusta a cada definición en el crucigrama. Escribe las palabras en los espacios tal como se muestra en el ejemplo. Puedes usar diferentes diccionarios en línea para ayudarte. Aquí tienes un ejemplo Cuando termines tu crucigrama cópialo y pégalo en un documento de Word para incluirlo en tu portafolio al final del proyecto. Incluye los vínculos de los diccionarios en línea que usaste para referencia posterior. ACTIVIDAD uno punto uno Elabora una lista de cinco palabras (diferentes a las del crucigrama) que no hayas entendido Utiliza un diccionario en línea para encontrar sus significados. Coloca las palabras en una tabla de dos columnas y seis líneas. Escribe el título NEW WORDS (palabras nuevas) como encabezado de la página. Nombra WORD (palabra) a la primera columna y MEANING (significado) a la segunda. Utiliza el tipo de letra CANDARA, número 14. Color de letra Naranja, énfasis 6, sombra 25% Espacio doble entre líneas. Toda la información debe ir centrada y numerada del uno al cinco en cada columna. Usa el estilo SOMBREADO CLARO, énfasis 3 para la tabla. Pega algunas figuras que representen a las palabras que buscaste. Utiliza el buscador de imágenes de GOOGLE. En la parte inferior de la hoja pega el vínculo del diccionario en línea que usaste, así como la referencia de Google para las fotos que pegaste. Protege tu documento contra cambios y guárdalo como documento PDF. ACTIVIDAD DOS Copia la historia de Sedna en un documento de Word. Cambia el tipo de letra e incluye la fotografía original. Crea un documento de Power Point y redacta cuatro párrafos que cambien el final de la historia de Sedna. Prepara tu presentación en cuatro diapositivas y coloca un párrafo en cada una de ellas. Busca fotografías chistosas que se relacionen con cada párrafo que redactaste y pégalas en tus diapositivas. Usa el buscador de imágenes de Gooogle. Utiliza el estilo prediseñado SOLSTICIO para tu presentación. Tamaño de letra 20, espaciado sencillo entre líneas, texto centrado. Agrega movimiento al texto, figuras y asigna tiempos a la animación de las diapositivas. Crea un documento de Word con tres preguntas que tus compañeros contestarán al final de tu presentación. Agrega una diapositiva al inicio de tu presentación que indique un vínculo hacia el documento de Sedna con el principio de la historia. En una última diapositiva crea un WordArt que diga Questionnaire y que sirva de vínculo al cuestionario que contestarán tus compañeros. Inserta una tabla con los nombres, grado y grupo. No olvides agradecer la atención de todos. Guarda tu presentación en USB con el siguiente modelo de nombre: Activity_two_your_name_Group_one_b y envíalo a En el espacio para asunto pega el siguiente mensaje: Sending New Story Ending. Guarda tu archivo como página En una sola frase publica en Facebook cómo terminó tu historia. Lee otros finales que tus comentarios hayan publicado y vota ME GUSTA por el que más te haya agradado. Recuerda mantener la cortesía al hacer tus comentarios.

ACTIVIDAD TRES Crea una presentación con tantas diapositivas en Power Point como necesites. Escribe una narración o diálogos que cuenten una historia basada en lo que le sucedió a Sedna. Acomoda un párrafo o diálogo por cada diapositiva. Busca figuras de la vida real en imágenes de Google para representar tu historia. Usa el estilo prediseñado Cartoné para tus diapositivas. Tamaño 24 para la letra, espaciado sencillo. El texto debe ir centrado al inferior de cada diapositiva. Añade animaciones a tus elementos y a las diapositivas. Agrega voz o música de fondo para convertirla en una audio-historia. Redacta tus comentarios finales en una diapositiva luego de la historia. En la última diapositiva inserta una tabla de una columna y cinco líneas con nombres, grado y grupo. Usa el Estilo medio 2 énfasis 1. En la parte inferior incluye las referencias para las fotos que usaste. Guarda tu presentación en USB usando el modelo Activity_three_your_name_Group_one_b También guárdala como versión WEB y envíala a para su revisión. En el mensaje para ASUNTO pega el título Sending Real Life Sube tu trabajo al blog y redacta tus comentarios. Recuerda conducirte con cortesía.

ACTIVIDAD FINAL Elabora una presentación donde incluyas vínculos a los trabajos que realizaste a lo largo de esta unidad. La primera diapositiva debe incluir el título English Literature Portfolio. En la segunda diapositiva pega figuras que representen el vínculo a cada una de las actividades (crucigrama, tabla de vocabulario, un final diferente, la nueva historia). Aplica el estilo Austin para tu presentación. En la penúltima diapositiva escribe los comentarios finales de tu trabajo. Agrega una tabla con nombres, grado y grupo al final de todas las diapositivas. Usa el Estilo Medio 2, énfasis 1 para la tabla y centra la información.
