Gustar. Forms of Gustar There are only two forms of Gustar Gusta and Gustan They are only two forms because its about what is liked.

The Verb Gustar To be pleasing to; to like I like chocolate. The verb gustar means _______________________________.   Gustar is a special verb. It is not conjugated for all forms (yo, tú, etc.) because it is not the person who does the liking. Instead, the person is “pleased” by something. Example: “Me gusta el chocolate” can be translated as… ______________________________________________ To be pleasing to; to like I like chocolate. Chocolate pleases me.

He, she, you (formal) like The Verb Gustar Because it is the thing(s) or action(s) that pleases the person, gustar is used in special phrases that can include an optional clarifier. The clarifiers are optional, but emphasize who is being pleased. Review: Fill in the blanks with the missing word in the gustar phrases.
