Leemos Lee un libro por 5 minutos. En sección 2 de tu cuaderno, escribe: La fecha corta El título de tu libro Las páginas que leíste. 3 palabras desconocidas Una frase que explica que leíste. I have a timer set for 5 minutes. The students must have a Spanish book to read before the tardy bell or they will be marked tardy. They are to read silently for 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes give them about 3 or 4 to complete their reading log in Section 2 of their notebook. They need to put the date on it , write the name of the book that they read, the page numbers they read , 3 unknown words and a sentences that explains what they read. That sentence can be in English.

Habla con tu compañero por 3 minutos de tu familia por parte materna. ¿Cómo son tus abuelos? ¿Dónde viven tus abuelos por parte materna? ¿Cómo son físicamente y personalidad? ¿Qué te gusta hacer con tus abuelos? Set a timer for 3 minutes. Explain to the students they are to be talking about their mother’s side of the family for 3 minutes. The main question is underlined. The other questions are to help with their conversation. Remind them that this is a time they MUST speak Spanish and no English. Do this activity twice. When they are done, go to the next slide.

What time is it Es la una- It is one o’clock Son las dos, tres, cuatro… It is 2, 3, 4…o’clock. Using the sticks on the front white table, draw names a students to ask and answer calendar questions. The student you draw asks the question then chooses another student to answer it. Do this 5 or 6 times. Then have a student aske the question that is on the Power Point, while you show them the clock. Have them answer as a class. Then go on to the next slide.
