While the students are working on this bell activity you can take roll. For participation #1 have them draw a pelota de fútbol americano. Escribe las oraciones y llena los espacios.

3 A new term means it’s time for a change
A new term means it’s time for a change! Each day one of you will be asking individual students in the class some questions. You will need to call on them by their Spanish names and then ask one question per person. La entrevista Introduce yourself… give your name, describe yourself, and one like/dislike Ask… who Is the best... Who is the worst… two personal questions This is new so you can have the students practice on each other at their tables first then have a volunteer give it a shot. They practiced asking about best/worst on Monday.

4 La actividad con la tarea
1. Comparte con tu compañero/a la tarea. Preguntale… ¿Enseñaste* tu mamá o tu papá o los dos? ¿A qué hora enseñaste? ¿Era fácil*? The students had to show their parents what they had to do to make up work when they are absent. For participation #2 have them draw a manzana. Enseñaste = you taught/showed Fácil = easy

5 La canción – la vida es bella por miguel bosÉ
Escucha la canción y escribe todas las palabras que oyes. Bring up the song on iTunes and let them listen to it and write down the words they hear. For participation #3 have them draw an oreja.

6 Los apuntes – las actividades
¿Qué tipo de película/programa/literatura/música prefieres? Yo prefiero ________. Por ejemplo ____________. Ciencia ficción La música classica Acción paisana Comedia pop Drama rock Romántica punk Horror rap Fantasía Documentario The students need to write all these notes down in their Los Apuntes section. Then, either as a class or in the table groups, have the students collaborate to make up actions for these types of movies, tv shows, literature, and music. It will be interesting to see how they deal with these semi-intangible terms to make an action fit them. Then ask a few students the question (select one type of entertainment) and see how they do with answering it in a complete sentence.

7 Una actividad de practico
Un/a estudiante dice una pregunta como: “¿Qué tipo de música prefieres?” Entonces, el/la estudiante tira la pelota a otro/a estudiante. “Yo prefiero la música rock.” El/La estudiante que recibe la pelota contesta la pregunta y después él/ella dice otra pregunta. For participation #4 have the students draw a diamante.

8 La prueba - escribe en español
What type of music do you prefer? I prefer classical music. For example, I like Beethoven’s 5th. The students need to take this quiz in their prueba section. After they are all done go over the correct answers. For participation #5 have them draw a music note.

9 Busca un ejemplo de un tipo de entretenimiento. -book jacket -cd cover
-concert ticket stub -team picture La tarea En el papel para la tarea escribe 4 oraciónes describiendo el entretenimento. Go over this homework assignment with them and make sure all of them write down the instructions on their homework paper and that everyone understands what to do.
