What is an adjective? -A word that describes a noun ¿Cómo eres? – How are you? (descriptive) Yo soy _____, _____, y ______. I am _____, ______, and _____. In Spanish, adjectives are based on number and gender.

#1: *What is a characteristic of the Spanish language?* A masculine based language Most adjectives will end in an -o. To make this feminine, you must change it to an -a.

#2: Singular means one object/person How do you make a word plural? Add –s  word ends in a vowel Add –es  word ends in a consonant What happens when you have a co-ed group of people? Keep the word masculine & plural

¿Cómo es? - How is he/she? More phrases to use: Él/Ella es _____, _____, y _____. He/She is _____, _____, and _____. *REMEMBER* Only use the pronoun for who you are talking about! A boy: Él, A girl: Ella ¿Cómo son? - How are they? Ellos/Ellas son _____, _____, y _____. They are ____, _____, and _____. *REMEMBER* Make your articles plural!!!!
