Written Task use of appropriate text   Make sure you are using the appropriate text for your purpose. For example, it wouldn’t be appropriate to write a letter to “everyone in the world,” but you might write a blog or give a speech or write a newspaper or magazine article to inform a wide range of people. Another example is the difference between a magazine article and a newspaper article: newspapers are for current events while magazine articles tend to be written for topics of interest to a specific group. Newspaper – regularly published collection of fairly brief articles provide updates on current events and interests. written by various wire service writers and are nationally or internationally syndicated. Associated Press for English and EFE for Spanish (EFE is the major multimedia news agency in Spanish and the world's fourth largest wire service after the Associated Press, Reuters and Agence France-Presse) A common feature of most newspapers is its editorial page, where the editors express opinions on timely topics and invite their readers to submit their opinions. Magazine – A regularly published collection of articles that might focus on any topic in general or on topics of interest to a specific group, such as sports fans or music fans or home decorators. Articles in magazines are typically written for the general reading public Most magazine articles do not list references and are written by the magazine's own staff writers. In general, magazine articles are easy to read, are fairly brief in length, and may include illustrations or photographs.

For example, it wouldn’t be appropriate to write a letter to “everyone in the world,” but you might write a blog or give a speech or write a newspaper or magazine article to inform a wide range of people. Another example is the difference between a diary entry and a blog: diary entries are for personal reflection while blogs tend to be written for topics of interest to a specific group. Diary – usually a daily written record of one's experiences, observations, and feelings that have been significant for some reason written by a person to allow the person to vent frustrations, reflect, and gain insight traditionally they are handwritten and emotions are raw and uncensored; diary entries are usually dated Blog – an online publication (world-wide access) for which an individual or a group frequently generates text, photographs, video or audio files, and/or links, typically (but not always) on a daily basis typically consists of the following components:  Title - main title of the post  Body - main content of the post  Trackback - links back from other sites  Comments - comments added by readers  Category - category the post is labeled with (optional, multiple categories possible)  Permalink - the URL of the full, individual article  Post Date - date: time the post was published

USAR el papel amarillo en PER 4 WS Cuadro para la tarea escrita. y los 3 textos en PER 6 para empezar a escribir un esquema para la tarea escrita WARNING: Since we will be working on the Written Assignment over a period of days, there is a huge temptation to ask people outside of class, “How would I say…” or you may be tempted to use a translator and memorize the phrasing. I advise you to be VERY CAREFUL with this! Spanish speakers and translators use phrasing that true language learners normally wouldn’t use. In May, you will have to write again, but without the help of a dictionary or time to look things up so if your level of writing shows a drastic difference in ability, your score may be invalidated and you would put me in jeopardy too! So PLEASE, DO YOUR OWN work as you swore/promised you would do when you signed the contract!

Written Task= Creative writing HL uses CAPC and other literature used in class SL uses 3 sources based on the Core Topics 1. Communication and Media 2. Global Issues 3.
