To make the negative command… 1. Conjugate it to the YO form hablar  hablo tener  tengo 2. Take off the ‘o’ at the end. hablo tengo 3. Add the OPPOSITE TÚ VERB ENDING. (AR  ER; ER/IR  AR) habl + ES = hables teng + AS = tengas 4. Add “no” in front of the verb ¡No hables! ¡No tengas!
