Total Cost in USD Million: $ $0.00 Project Description: The purpose of this project is the construction and implementation of a wind farm that will produce electrical power using state- of-the-art wind turbines selected to achieve high efficiency and maximum use of available resources. The energy generated will be sold and used in its entirety by an end user/partner for a period of 15 years. The project will have an installed capacity of 54 MW and will generate approximately GWh2 of electricity annually. Community Benefits: The project intends to generate electrical power by utilizing wind resources available in the area through the use of wind turbines. Due to the nature of this project, no negative environmental impacts are anticipated during its construction and operation phases, since the project will be located in an area devoted to agriculture, and its ecosystem is entirely adapted to such use. The project area does not contain any fragile ecosystems or unique/endangered species. To determine risks related to avian species, a bird monitoring study was conducted for a year in the project area; the purpose of this study was to monitor the migratory patterns of birds, and to study the populations of native birds and insects, as required by the Environmental Impact Statement approved by the applicable authority. The results of this study were satisfactory, as the location of the Wind Farm will not impact any bird or insect migratory routes and the project areas ecosystem is not home to any protected species. Costo Total en Millones de Dólares: $0.00 Millones de Dólares Descripción del Proyecto: Este proyecto tiene como objetivo la construcción e instalación de un parque eólico que producirá energía eléctrica empleando aerogeneradores de última generación que harán que este proyecto sea altamente eficiente y sus recursos puedan ser aprovechados al máximo. La energía generada será vendida y utilizada en su totalidad por un socio auto consumidor durante un periodo de 15 años. El proyecto tendrá una capacidad instalada de 54 MW y generará aproximadamente GWh2 anuales de energía eléctrica. El proyecto será ampliado en una segunda fase a 72 MW. Beneficios a la Comunidad: Este proyecto pretende generar energía eléctrica utilizando el recurso eólico disponible en la zona mediante la utilización de aerogeneradores. Debido a la naturaleza de este proyecto, durante su fase de construcción y operación no se tendrán impactos negativos contra el medio ambiente ya que la zona en donde el proyecto está localizado es una zona dedicada a la agricultura, y su ecosistema está totalmente adaptado a dicho uso agrícola. El área del proyecto no cuenta con presencia de ecosistemas frágiles ni de especies únicas o en peligro de extinción. Asimismo, se ha realizado un estudio de monitoreo de aves durante un año en el área del proyecto cuyo fin fue el monitoreo de patrones migratorios de las aves, así como el de estudiar las poblaciones de aves e insectos permanentes tal y como requería el Manifiesto de Impacto Ambiental del proyecto aprobado por la autoridad. Los resultados de este estudio fueron satisfactorios ya que la localización del Parque Eólico no afecta ninguna ruta migratoria de aves e insectos y el área del proyecto no alberga a especies protegidas dentro de su ecosistema.
