The project consists of construction of the solid waste landfill for the Municipality of Dr. Gonzalez. The project objective is to comply with the specifications and technical guidelines and required environmental control systems to provide adequate solid waste disposal services generated in the municipality. El Proyecto consiste en la construcción de un relleno sanitario para el Municipio de Dr. González. El objetivo del proyecto es dar cumplimiento a las especificaciones técnicas y requerimientos ambientales para proveer una infraestructura que permita el deposito de los residuos sólidos generados en el municipio. Project Description: The project consists the construction of a solid waste landfill with a 3 meter deep 80x50 meter cell located on km 1.5 towards Placeta near the Industrial Park. This cell will receive 12,000 cubic meters of solid waste in a first phase followed by a similar amount in a second phase. Community Benefits: The project components will reduce the potential for detrimental conditions related to the inadequate management of solid waste that can facilitate spreading contagious diseases. Costo Total en Millones de Dólares: 0.11 MDD Descripción del Proyecto: El proyecto consiste en la construcción de un relleno sanitario con una profundidad de 3.0 m y una superficie de 80x50 m localizado a 15 km. Del Centro industrial La Placeta. Este relleno sanitario podrá recibir 12,000 metros cúbicos de residuos sólidos en su primer fase, proyectándose un volumen similar en la segunda fase. Beneficios a la Comunidad: Las obras que conforman el proyecto contribuirán a la disminución de condiciones propicias para la proliferación de enfermedades infecciosas y arbovirales relacionadas con el manejo inadecuado de residuos sólidos urbanos.
