Double Objects How do we use an indirect and a direct object at the same time? **In English, we might say “She gives it to me.” In Spanish, we would say “Ella me lo da.” Think: What noun might the direct object “lo” be replacing in this sentence? **In English, we might say “He buys it for me.” In Spanish, we would say “Él me la compra.” Think: What noun might the direct object “la” be replacing in this sentence?

Notice when we use two object pronouns….. The indirect object comes first! Me lo compran. They buy it for me. Nos las dan. They give them to us. REMEMBER: You cannot Le Lo!!!!! IF you have these two pronouns together, Le becomes Se. Se lo compro. I buy it for her. Se las das. You give them to him.

Where can we put object pronouns? 1.Before a conjugated verb. Me lo compran. They buy it for me. 2.Attached to an infinitive. Quiere comprarmelo. He wants to buy it for me. Me lo quiere comprar. 3.Attached to a present participle. Estás comprándomelo. You are buying it for me. Me lo estás comprando.
