Los números To ask how many people or things use cuántos (before masculine noun) or cuántas (before feminine noun) ej. ¿Cuántas personas en la clase? ej. ¿Cuántos chicos hoy? You can also use hay to express “There is…” or “There are…” or ¿Hay…? to ask “Is there…” or “Are there…”. No hay means there is or there are not.
