7 Hay In Spanish we use “hay” to talk about the existence of people or things. Hay means –there is OR there are. Ejemplos: -Hay un pupitre./There is a student desk. (To talk about one person or thing.) -Hay veinte libros. (To talk about more than one person or thing.)

8 Asking “How many?/How much?”
You have 4 ways to ask “How many/ How much?” and they are: ¿ Cuánto (m, singular)/ Cuánta (f, singular)? EX. ¿Cuánto dinero hay?- How much money is there? ¿ Cuánto es?- How much is it? 2. ¿ Cuántos (m, plural)/ Cuántas (f, plural)? EX. ¿Cuántos libros hay? ¿Cuántas sillas hay?
