¿Cuándo usamos el imperfecto? To describe what was happening, used to happen or happened repeatedly in the past. Yo cantaba mi canción favorita. Vivíamos en esta calle. Tomás llegaba tarde siempre.

To express a state of mind in the past with the verbs: creer/ pensar/ querer/ and saber. Yo creía que ellos eran mis amigos. Tú pensabas regresar mas temprano. Nosotros queríamos ver la pelicula.

To decribe persons or things in the past. Pedro era rubio y tenía ojos azules. La casa estaba llena de gente. Mi abuelo era muy amable conmigo. Las manzanas tenían gusanos.
