So…what is an infinitive?

An infinitive is the way a VERB appears in the dictionary. It means “to… something” Examples? An infinitive always ends in AR, ER or IR.

Be careful with that dictionary… When you look up a verb be sure that it is the VERB and not the NOUN you are writing down. If it is an action you are looking up, you want the VERB. Make no mistake.
