The perfect tenses The Perfect Tenses are a group of verb tenses that use haber as an auxiliary verb and the past participle as the main verb. In Spanish: conjugated form of haber + verb ending in ado/ido. In English: conjugated form of to have + verb ending in “ed” Yo he trabajado en una pastelería. I have worked in a bakery. Did you notice that the verb haber is used for the auxiliary verb to have and not tener?

Never separate two verbs In the Perfect Tenses prounouns will preceed the verb haber: ¿Han escrito Uds. una carta a su abuela? Claro que se la hemos escrito. In the Perfect Tenses “no” will also preceed the verb haber No, aún no hemos escrito una carta a nuestra abuela. Or No, aún no se la hemos escrito.
