3 Past Participle »English Grammar Connection: »In both Spanish and English, a past participle has the characteristics of both a verb and an adjective. English past participles often end in -en or -ed. For example, Adjective: Patrick’s reservation is confirmed. Verb: Patrick has confirmed his reservation.

4 Past Participle »Forms »To form the past participle, add the following endings to the stem of the verb: -ar verbs: confirm -ado -er verbs: aprend -ido » Verbs ending in -er have a written accent mark over the -i in -ido if the stem ends in -a, -e, or -o.
