Really, it had everything I look for in a movie. A movie plus interaction with other Spanish students, and the chance to hear the language in a more quickly, spoken manner is helpful to me. It is good to have this, gives people time to relax, while at the same time they are learning. I am looking forward to the next one. The role of death in this movie really showed the Hispanic view about death. The Hispanics celebrate death and are much more open about it than are Americans. Although he tries to bring the motto of the ruling party to town (modernity, peace and progress) he realizes soon that there's nothing to do against corruption... except to become corrupt. Step by step, helped by his pistol, Juan Vargas becomes the law and the worst Major in the town's history.
