Direct object pronouns Capítulo 3A Direct object pronouns

Direct Object Pronouns Direct object pronouns are words that REPLACE the names of objects. In English, these replacements are either the words “IT” or “THEM”. These are NOT subject pronouns. These are words that represent objects that are the recipients of the action of the sentence. These pronouns correspond in both GENDER and NUMBER.

Direct Object Pronouns The four direct object pronouns that we will be learning about in this chapter are: LO LA LOS LAS As mentioned before, they match in gender and number with the object they replace.

Direct Object Pronouns Please note the position of each object pronoun in the following sentences. Mi padre compró el coche. (Lo compró.) Juanita vio la casa. (Ella la vio.) Yo tengo los lápices. (Yo los tengo.) Ellos escribieron las composiciones. (Ellos las escribieron.)
