Present Perfect The present perfect of the subjunctive refers to actions that MAY HAVE OCCURRED BEFORE THE ACTION OF THE MAIN VERB.

The “main verb” sits in the main [independent] clause. That means that there’s going to be a subordinate [dependent] clause with it.
