Piel Exegetical significance Factitive active – Causes a state of being NOT causing an action! Examples God made Abraham righteous, or God brought Abraham into a state of being righteous NOT – God made Abraham go into the city
Piel Exegetical Significance If a verb is stative in the qal, then it will normally be factitive in the piel Can sometimes be intensive, rather than factitive
