Adjectives Describe Nouns Like articles, adjectives must match the gender and number of nouns. Adjectives are usually placed after nouns. In general, masculine adjectives end in –o and feminine adjectives end in –a. Ejemplos: El chico guapo / La chica guapa Los chicos guapos / Las chicas guapas
Adjectives Ending with -e Most adjectives that end with –e match both genders (they don’t change). They still add –s for plural nouns. Ejemplo: el chico paciente / la chica paciente Los chicos pacientes / Las chicas pacientes
Adjectives Ending with Consonant Many adjectives ending with a consonant match both genders (they don’t change). Ejemplo: el chico fenomenal / la chica fenomenal
