2 Adjectives Remember that adjectives describe people, places, and things. In Spanish, adjectives must match the nouns they describe. They must match in gender (male/female) and in number (singular/plural). Adjectives in Spanish usually come after the noun.

3 Adjectives ending in “o”
El chico desorganizado. Los chicos desorganizados. The disorganized boy. The disorganized boys.

4 Adjectives ending in “a”
La chica desorganizada. Las chicas desorganizadas. The funny girl. The funny girls.

5 Adjectives ending in “e”
El chico inteligente. Los chicos inteligentes. La chica inteligente. Las chicas inteligentes. Some adjectives end in an “e”. In order to make these adjectives plural, we simply add an “s”.

6 Adjectives ending in consonents Some adjectives that end in consonents add an “a” to form the feminine. Some also add “es” for the plural form. The hard working boy. The hard working boys. The hard working girl. The hard working girls. El chico trabajador. Los chicos trabajadores. La chica trabajadora. Las chicas trabajadoras.
