Pensar and pensar que The e ie stem-changing verb pensar means to think. When it’s followed by que, it means to think that . . . yo pienso nosotros(as) pensamos tú piensas vosotros(as) pensáis Ud., él, ella piensa Uds., ellos, ellas piensan Pienso que los invitados van a hablar y bailar toda la noche. Va a ser una fiesta muy divertida. I think that the guests are going to . . .

Pensar with infinitives Pensar can also be followed by an infinitive to say what someone plans to do or intends to do. ¿Qué piensan hacer para celebrar el Año Nuevo? What do you plan to do to celebrate New Year’s Eve? Pensamos ir a esquiar. We plan to go skiing.
