“Investigate the impact of industrial activities on hydrology and water quality in Peru’s San Vicente de Canete region” Environmental Impact Analysis methods and technologies: development, environment and impact mitigation in the Canete valley The districts located in the Cañete river basin, until reaching the source of the Cañete River in the district of Tanta (Province of Yauyos), at more than 5000 meters above sea level, do not have water treatment services and all the sewage goes directly to the River Cañete. Pollution needs to be evaluated in this way.
The valley of Cañete, because it has a permanent river in water, is an area where there is an intense agricultural activity, which constantly uses abundant agrochemicals and synthetic fertilizers and this way constitutes another source of contamination and it is necessary to evaluate it, to adopt the most appropriate measures to reverse this situation. In the high zone, in the province of Yauyos, Dr. Aguinaga, has detected informal mining that would be contaminating the Cañete river with heavy metals and that is why we are going to finance a research project that we will link to the project that we are going to develop between the UNDC and UCAM.
The Mag. And Biologist Katherine Sanchez, also has developing a research project on the subject of the agreement between the UNDC and the UCAM and is also connecting her team with the agreement.
