How to form the conditional tense As for the future tense, start with the FUTURE STEM. For most verbs the future stem is the INFINITIVE: jugar, bailar, comer, leer, vivir, abrir etc. Add the conditional endings.
These endings are the same as those that form the imperfect tense of -er and -ir verbs. -íamos -íais -ían
compraría I would buy estudiarías you (singular) would study comería he, she would eat iríamos we would go estaríais you (plural) would be verían they would see
Verbs that are irregular in the conditional The conditional uses the same stem as the future tense. The irregular stems are exactly the same as the future ones.
