2 The Future Tense You can express the future tense in Spanish in three ways. One way is using the present tense with a time expression. El tren sale a las dos.

3 The Future Tense Another way is by using ir + a + infinitive.
Este sábado voy a reciclar todas las botellas.

4 The Future Tense A third way is to use the future tense.
In the future tense, all verbs have the same endings. For all regular verbs, you do NOT have to take off the verb ending! Leave the –ar,-er,-ir

6 The Future Tense Here are all the forms of hablar, comer, and dormir in the future tense. Note that all three kinds of verbs have the same endings. All forms have a written accent except the nosotros form.

7 HABLAR hablaré hablarás hablará hablaremos hablaréis hablarán

8 COMER comeré comerás comerá comeremos comeréis comerán

9 DORMIR dormiré dormirás dormirá dormiremos dormiréis dormirán

10 The Future Tense Hablaremos mañana. We will talk tomorrow.
No comeré porque no tengo hambre. I will not eat because I’m not hungry.

11 The Future Tense Some verbs have irregular stems in the future tense: Group 1 Tener (to have) Tendr- Salir (to leave/go out) Saldr- Saber (to know) Sabr-

13 SALIR--future saldré saldrás saldrá saldremos saldréis saldrán

14 SABER--future sabré sabrás sabrá sabremos sabréis sabrán
