Direct Object Nouns & Pronouns A direct object is the word in a sentence that receives the action of the verb. It answers the questions, whom? what? Ejemplo: Luisa is buying the blouse. To find the direct object, we ask, “What is Lisa buying?” the blouse is the direct object.
