To form this type of adverb, take the adjective and add –mente. fácil fácilmente If the adjective ends in –o, change the –o to –a before adding –mente. lento lentamente Note that adjectives do not lose their written accents when adding –mente. Suggestions for use: You may want to explain that if a sentence includes a series of two or more adverbs with -mente, the suffix is dropped from all but the last adverb. Ex: El chico camina lenta y directamente a la escuela.
