Gustar Y verbos como gustar

Gustar literally means “_to be pleasing to_” The logical translation however is “_to like_”

La conjugación de gustar en el presente: me gusta A mí A nosotros A ti A vosotros A él A ellos A ella A ellas A Usted A Ustedes nos gusta te gusta os gusta le gusta les gusta **if the thing that you like is plural, add “n” (gustan instead of gusta)

Por ejemplo… (A mí) me gusta la clase de español. I like dogs. = I like Spanish class. = (A mí) me gusta la clase de español. I like dogs. = (A mí) me gustan los perros. I like to study. = (A mí) me gusta estudiar. You like churros. = (A ti) te gustan los churros. They like paella. = (A ellos) les gusta la paella. I like you. = (A mí) me gustas tú. You like me. = (A ti) te gusto yo.

Por ejemplo… Me encantan las tapas españolas. = I love Spanish tapas. Me sorprende que hablas español. = It surprises me that you speak Spanish. A ella le interesa la historia de España. = She is interested in the history of Spain./The history of Spain interests her. A ellos les molesta la tarea. = Homework annoys them.

Por ejemplo… Siempre me gustaba cocinar.  I always liked to cook. = Siempre me gustaba cocinar. When you were young, you liked to eat cookies. = Cuando eras joven, (a ti) te gustaba comer galletas.

I was fascinated by all of the tapas. = (A mí) me fascinaron todas las tapas. They were interested in the tortilla de patata. = (A ellos) les interesó la tortilla de patata. She was not bored by the presentations. = (A ella) no le aburrieron las presentaciones. When you were young, you loved hamburgers. = Cuando eras joven, (a ti) te encantaban las hamburguesas. They always used to be annoyed by math class. = (A ellos) siempre les molestaba la clase de matemáticas.
