The book is pleasing to you. The book is pleasing to him/her. The book is pleasing to us. The book is pleasing to them/ya’ll.

The books are pleasing to me. The books are pleasing to you. The books are pleasing to her. Me gustan los libros. Te gustan los libros. A ella le gustan los libros. This prepositional phrase is added for emphasis or to clarify who the pronoun refers to.

GUSTAR and other verbs like GUSTAR are always conjugated to match the item, not the person, regardless of verb tense. I liked the movie Breaking Dawn. Past tense! Me gustó la película Breaking Dawn. Me gustaron todas las películas de Twilight.
