El futuro

We have already learned one way to talk about the future. You can use Ir + a + infinitive Vamos a estudiar en la biblioteca. We’ll study (we are going to study) in the library. Mañana, voy a escalar montañas. Tomorrow, I will climb (I am going to climb) mountains. . Vamos a navegar por internet. We’ll surf (We are going to surf) the internet.

The future tense Pronouns ENDINGS Yo -é Tú -ás Él/ella/usted -á The future tense is used to tell what will take place in the future. To form the future tense of regular verbs, you add the endings to the infinitive: Pronouns ENDINGS Yo -é Tú -ás Él/ella/usted -á Nosotros/Nosotras -emos Ellos/Ellas /Ustedes -án

¡Ejemplos! We will arrive at 9. Nosotros llegaremos a las nueve. I will go home. Yo iré a casa. José and Linda will eat in an elegant restaurant. José y Linda comerán en un restaurante elegante. Will you watch The Simpsons? ¿Mirarás Los Simpson?

Practica con los verbos ENDINGS -é -ás -á -emos -án 1. Estudiar 2. Leer 3. Escribir Estudiaré Estudiarás Estudiará Estudiaremos Estudiarán leeré leerás leerá leeremos leerán

Infinitives Future Stem The dreadful irregulars! With some verbs, you have to change the form of their infinitive slightly before adding the future tense endings. Here are the irregulars. Infinitives Future Stem Decir Dir- Hacer har- Poner pondr- Salir saldr- Tener tendr- Venir vendr- Poder podr- Querer querr- Saber sabr- I will do my homework. Yo haré mi tarea. They will tell the truth. Ellos dirán la verdad. We will not have homework. ¡No tendremos tarea!

¡Más Práctica con el futuro! Mis amigos__________ por internet. (navegar) Jazmin ___________alpinismo este verano. (hacer) Yo ____________una camisa cómoda de lana. (llevar) Nosotros ____________en alta mar. (pescar) ¿____________ (tú) las montañas en Colorado? (escalar)

Practica: Worksheet

La Escritura ¿Qué piensas del futuro? ¿Cómo será la vida en nuestro planeta, “la Tierra”? ¿Cómo será tu vida? ¿Qué harás? Escribe diez predicciones para el año 2030!

Boleto de salida What is something you found easy about today’s lesson? What is something you found difficult?
