2 We have already learned one way to talk about the future…Ir + a + infinitive
Vamos a tomar muchas decisiones en el futuro. We’ll make (We are going to make) many decisions in the future . Mañana, voy a contribuir en clase. Tomorrow, I will contribute (I am going to contribute) in class. Ellos van a descubrir el agua en el planeta Marte. They’ll discover (They are going to discover) water on the planet Mars.

3 Today we are going to learn how to form the future tense
Today we are going to learn how to form the future tense. You form the future tense by adding a special set of endings to the infinitive. You add these endings to the infinitive of any verb. All have accents but for nosotros. é emos ayudaré ayudaremos ás éis ayudarás ayudaréis ayudará ayudarán á án ¡OJO! All verbs have the same endings in the future tense.

We will pursue a career in technology. Nosotros seguiremos una carrera en tecnología. I will go to a small university. Yo iré a una universidad pequeña. José and Linda will get married. José y Linda se casarán. Will you realize/accomplish your dreams? ¿Realizarás tus sueños?

5 ¡No tendremos soluciones a sus problemas!
The irregulars! With some verbs, you have to change the form of their infinitive slightly before adding the future tense endings. Here are the irregulars. Infinitives Future Stem Decir dir- Hacer har- Poner pondr- Salir saldr- Tener tendr- Venir vendr- Poder podr- Querer querr- Saber sabr- I will do my work. Yo haré mi trabajo. They will tell the truth. Ellos dirán la verdad. We will not have solutions to their problems. ¡No tendremos soluciones a sus problemas!
